Kathleen King , Artist Statement
My interpretation of these chimeras emerges from both conscious reflection and subconscious intuition. They conjure guardians and angels, demons, yin and yang, the masculine and feminine energies. At times these opposing forces appear to be in conflict; at other moments they work together in harmony, overcoming obstacles and unseen influences through their union.
I invite you to experience these works as you might a series of tarot cards—images that encourage introspection rather than certainty. Allow them to open pathways into your own subconscious, where personal meanings, memories, and emotions can surface freely.
